As much as I don’t really like the Polo, That’s the one I’d go with.

I’ll be on the one you’ll be tying up to the transport. Or you can tie up the Mini and the Porsche. They’re light enough.

The Pikes Peak Escudo Suzuki from Grand Tourismo.

The Celica is rad as well :]

You might be able to fit two of the smallest cars inside, but center of gravity and tiedowns come into play. Although the -47's slingload capacity is quite amazing depending on which hooks you use, I wouldn’t sling more than one, maybe two of they’re on a palet. Source: My job.

No way in hell I’m leaving that behind.

But, if for some sad, sad reason the Audi fails me, the 242 will do just fine.

The Mini.

You don’t need to go all that fast to outrun a Technical.

It’s the smallest target

It doesn’t scream “Western Imperialist Infidel Dog!!!!” as loud as some of the others

Everything which breaks on them can be fixed with a hammer crescent, two screwdrivers, a roll of fence wire and one of duct tape, rather than needing a full Prodrive pit crew.

...and it’s one of those cars that’ll keep running badly for longer than most cars (especially the highstrung prima donnas offered here) will keep running at all

Plus if all else fails I’ll lose ‘em by driving down some stairs and through a sewer network

I was gonna say Ford because ‘Murica, but then it has Abu Dhabi on it, which would just confuse the Daesh and potentially get me executed in a worse fashion for co-opting the sponsorship of another Muslim country, but then again the hardliners probably consider Abu Dhabi just as bad as (or worse than) America, so yeah I'll go with Ford.

As much as I agree with most of what you say (I have more than one of those) I think the Nissan 240 RS may be by far the one with the highest simplicity/reliability/speed ratio.

The fastest one that probably won’t break. Sadly, the Subaru. The Evo is just as fast, but Mitsu doesn’t have Subaru R&D money.

Although I believe the Nissan Silvia RS to be the better choice, as a longstanding Mini nut I’d like to illustrate Mr Distraxi’s point with a picture from a very, very good film - Goodbye Pork Pie:

Kinja'd!!!

(actually a road movie)

While it is true that sometimes Minis can have silly niggly (and infuriating) faults, it is also quite extraordinary their ability to keep on going even when the mechanicals are already beyond redemption.

Come to think of it, something very similar happens to Land Rovers (the “proper” kind, needless to say).
